Summary: My favorite perfume. 2009-01-03
Comment: I got this originally for my birthday 2 years ago and have continued to get it every time I run out(or run low). I wear this scent at every chance I get, whether day or night.
The description says it's a blend of many things, particularly black cherries, framboise, etc. but it doesn't smell anything like that to me.
The best way to describe the scent is like being in an orange grove at night after a really hot day. It really does have more of an orange smell to it I think, but a musky orange smell with a touch of vanilla under it. It's not tart but a light sweetness, not heavy but just light enough that you can wear it during the day or night. It's not bad by any means, my husband absolutely loves when I wear it and I've gotten many compliments on it.
The only downside, and I do mean the ONLY downside, is that the smell doesn't last much longer than 2 hours max.

Comment: MIDNIGHT FANTASY is strong on the fruit notes. The notes of plum & cherries stayed with me all the way through the floral hearts notes. The result was that I couldn't separate any of the floral notes.
The vanilla in the base was also very subtle; I could pick out the musky tones. I'd have thought the base would be sweet, but it's not. MIDNIGHT FANTASY is all about the fruity notes. It failed to remind me of the original FANTASY; I don't know why it wasn't marketed as a new fragrance, instead of Fantasy: 2.
Personally I love plums & cherries so I do adore MIDNIGHT FANTASY, though I have to remove a lippie as it can be sickly in warm weather. I'd defiantly stick to autumn/winter for this.

Comment: Spray device broke with first use so I had to remove it so I could sprinkle on the perfume. The smell is similar to the bottle I have but it lasts no time, unlike the other that I can still smell on me the next day. That is the reason I wanted another bottle because it lasts so long and smells so good. This one is just not the same. Makes me wonder if it is a knock-off. I would not buy perfume at Amazon again. Not pleased, not pleased at all.
