Summary: Vanilla-ly 2007-12-23
Comment: It's hard to explain what it is about this perfume that I love. The first time I smelled it, I was immediately reminded of growing up in the 80's; going to holiday parties for my grandmother's law firm, strolling through art galleries in D.C., hanging out in the employee lounge at my mother's office. It's like a neat summary of every popular 80's scent all in one. It has amber, vanilla, and musk; which are the the top notes in Victoria's Secret's Vanilla Lace but it also has jasmine and gardenia, which are two of my favourite floral smells. The effect is kind of like eating a cake in a garden in spring. Plus, the best part is that, if any of this sounds interesting to you, you can buy the little purse spray for next to nothing. I got the purse spray as part of a set and, to date, Rare Gold is the only one that I liked enough to get the larger bottle of.

Summary: Gorgeous scent - doesn't overpower! 2007-10-08
Comment: My parents bought this from Avon ages ago, but my mother wasn't interested in the scent. I'm 17 now, and I started using this just before I began dating my boyfriend. He adores the scent, which is warm and a little musky, and can't get enough of me when I wear it.
I've never gotten any complaints from anyone when I wear it, and I'm pleased! Simply awesome, and a great price too.

Comment: Ladies..if you're not a "fragrance snob", you'll probably love Avon perfumes & colognes. I've used Rare Gold for years & love it's gentle, not-too-sweet scent. Also a plus is the fact that you can easily buy the matching shower gel & talc.
